华兹华斯（William Wordsworth，1770-1850），英国诗人，华兹华斯的小诗清新，长诗清新而又深刻，一反新古典主义平板、典雅的风格，开创了新鲜活泼的浪漫主义诗风。

彭斯（1759-1796），苏格兰农民诗人，复活并丰富了苏格兰民歌。他的诗歌富有音乐性，可以歌唱。

威廉·布莱克（1757－1827），英国诗人、画家，浪漫主义文学代表人物之一，主要诗作有诗集《天真之歌》、《经验之歌》等。他的早期作品简洁明快，中后期作品趋向玄妙晦涩，充满神秘色彩。布莱克在世时成就没有得到承认，直到十九、二十世纪之交，叶芝等人重编了他的诗集，人们才惊讶于他的纯真与深刻，他的神启式的画也逐渐普及，于是诗人与画家布莱克的地位才确立无疑。
约翰·济慈，杰出的诗人，浪漫派的主要成员。济慈才华横溢，与雪莱、拜伦齐名。他遗下篇被认为完美地体现了西方浪漫主义诗歌的特色，并被推崇为欧洲浪漫主义运动的杰出代表；华兹华斯，英国诗人，是“湖畔诗人”的领袖。他的小诗清新，长诗清新而又深刻，充满了对自然山水的崇拜，一反新古典主义平板、典雅的风格，开创了新鲜活泼的浪漫主义诗风。

泰戈尔，印度著名诗人、作家，第1位获得诺贝尔文学奖的亚洲人，是向西方介绍印度文化和把西方文化介绍到印度的具有影响的人物。他继承了印度古典和民间文学的优秀传统，吸收了欧洲浪漫主义与现实主义文学的丰富营养，在创作上达到炉火纯青的地步，取得了辉煌成就，成为一代文化巨人。

穆旦（1918—1977），原名查良铮，曾用笔名梁真，祖籍浙江省海宁市袁花镇，出生于天津。现代主义诗人、翻译家。穆旦是“九叶诗派”的代表性诗人。20世纪80年代之后，许多现代文学专家推其为现代诗歌第一人。他也是著名的翻译家，主要译作有俄国普希金的作品《青铜骑士》《普希金抒情诗集》，英国雪莱的《云雀》《雪莱抒 情诗选》，英国拜伦的《唐璜》《拜伦抒情诗选》《拜伦诗选》，英国《布莱克诗选》《济慈诗选》。

王佐良（1916-1995），浙江上虞人。学者、诗人、翻译家，在英国文学研究领域成就卓著。

屠岸，1923年生，笔名叔牟。1941年开始发表作品。著有诗集《萱荫阁诗抄》、《屠岸十四行诗》、《哑歌人的自白》，译著《鼓声》、《莎士比亚十四行诗集》、《一个孩子的诗园》（合译）、《英美著名儿童诗一百首》、《迷人的春光——英国抒情诗选》（合译）、《济慈诗选》、《英美儿童诗精品选》、《约翰王》等。
